Blue Camp UC Berkeley Social Skills Camps (https://recsports.berkeley.edu/social-skills-camps/) offers supported day camp program within Blue Camp for typically developing children and teens
Camp Altitude (http://www.viaservices.org/services/altitude-via ) offers year-round camping experiences for children with social cognitive challenges including: verbal and nonverbal learning disabilities, ADHD, Asperger’s, and high functioning autism.
Camp Harmon (http://www.campharmon.org/index.html) overnight summer camp for children and adults ages 8-65 with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Family camp also available.
Camp Krem (http://campingunlimited.org/ ) offers day trips, weekend trips, and summer overnight camps for children and adults with developmental disabilities
Exceptional Needs Network (http://www.ennetwork.org/enn/Home.html ) -offers summer overnight camps for developmentally delayed youth ages 6-22 years at Camp Arroyo in Livermore
Teen Inclusive Recreation through Oakland Parks and Recreation (http://www2.oaklandnet.com/government/o/opr/s/ADAInclusionCenter/index.htm) offers after school program and summer day camp for teens with developmental disabilities and their peers. Currently held at Lake Merritt Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Ave., Oakland.
Via West (http://www.viaservices.org/services/via-west) offers year-round weekend and summer camps for children and adults with developmental and/or physical disabilities
Special Olympics (https://www.sonc.org/)
Offers year-round team and individual sports for children ages 8 adults with intellectual disabilities. Children ages 6-7 can practice with their team but are not allowed to participate in regional competitions. In Alameda County, the following sports are offered in Oakland (see Programs->Community Sports Programs-> Alameda):
Basketball (Jan-March)- practices are held Sat mornings at Claremont Middle School
Swimming (March-June) practices are held Sat mornings at Live Oak Memorial Pool
Softball (June-August) - practices are held weekday evenings at Mosswood Park
Golf (June-August) - practices are held weekday evenings at Chabot Golf Course
Soccer (August-October) - practices are held Sat mornings at Eastshore Park at MacArthur Blvd. and Lakeshore Ave.
Sports available elsewhere in Alameda County include bocce, bowling, floor hockey, tennis, track and field, volleyball
Challenger Baseball through NOLL/SOLL (http://www.nollsoll.com/challenger-division/) offers coach-pitch baseball for children ages 6-22 with physical or mental disabilities. Season runs March-June with one weekday evening practice each week and Sunday afternoon games against local Challenger division teams.
Achieve Tahoe (http://achievetahoe.org/)offers summer day programs include sailing, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, water skiing and jet skiing on Donner Lake
Head Over Heels Athletic Arts (http://hohathleticarts.com/classes/gymnastics/special-needs) in Emeryville - offers weekly classes for children with special needs.
Oakland Ice Center (http://www.oaklandice.com/figure-skating/lessons-1) - offers special needs skating program Fridays at 5 PM
Pitts’ Martial Arts, 468 Santa Clara Ave., Oakland. Offers special needs class on Friday afternoons
Most ski areas offer private adaptive skiing lessons at a discount. The following areas advertise developed adaptive skiing programs.

Bear Valley Resort (http://www.bearvalley.com/lessons) - offers private skiing lessons for children and adults with disabilities
Dodge Ridge Resort (http://www.dodgeridge.com/snowsports-school/adaptive-lessons/) - offers private skiing lessons for children and adults with disabilities
Heavenly Resort (https://www.skiheavenly.com/plan-your-trip/ski-and-ride-lessons/category/adaptive.aspx) offers private skiing and snowboarding lessons for children and adults with disabilities
Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows (http://squawalpine.com/adaptive-ski-programs) Discounted annual ski pass available for skiers with special needs. Requires certification by a physician.
E-soccer (http://soccer.e-sports.org/berkeley/) Inclusive year-round Saturday morning soccer program for children with special needs who are paired with a neurotypical buddy in drills and small-sided soccer games. Offered in Piedmont Fall, Spring and Summer on Saturday mornings. Fall season runs Sept. 16- Nov. 18 from 10:30-11:30 am at Havens Elementary School, 323 Highland Ave.
Champions Soccer in Alameda (http://alamedasoccer.org/) – Inclusive Sunday afternoon fall soccer program for children with special needs who are paired with a neurotypical buddy in drills and small-sided soccer games. Held Sundays 2-4 pm at Bayport Field near Ruby Bridges Elementary School, 351 Jack London Ave., Alameda.
Special Needs Aquatic Program (http://ucpgg.org/support-programs/aquatic-program/) group classes with 1:1 support are offered at the Berkeley YMCA and Palo Alto YMCA
Xenophon (http://xenophontrc.org) offers therapeutic riding (ages 5-17 years) and hippotherapy (ages 2-17 years) for children with disabilities. Located in Orinda.
